About John Garratt
We have a number of feathers in our cap, - we are the only organisation in Australia that publish, retail and wholesale religious and spiritual books on a large scale.John Garratt Publishing and associated Bookroom and Sophia Book Club were established by Garry and Moira Eastman in 1995. Our aim is to offer resources for schools and parishes and their members to make Christ more present in the world today.
Our feather logo comes from the Black Cockatoo.
This variety is found in Western Victoria and the Northern Territory. For us, its red and black colours symbolise renewal, while the feather itself is a symbol of the creativity and power of the written word.
